Two killed in Collapsed Apartment Incident in Russia




At least two people were killed and two others were injured after part of a nine-storey apartment building collapsed in Izhevsk, Russia.

An official in Russia's Emergency Ministry stated there are still people trapped under the ruins of a collapsed apartment, after the events that occurred on Thursday local time (9/11)

Reuters quoted officials saying the incident occurred due to gas explosion didiuga.

The investigative Commission of Russia declared the explosion of natural gas is suspected as the cause of the apartment collapsed.

There are a number of apartment collapsed across Russia in a few years back. Contributing factor was the way the use of gas was bad.

One of a series of incidents occurred in the collapsed apartment Volgograd, Russia in December 2015. By that time there were five people who were killed because of a similar incident.
